Connie Hewitt

Connie Hewitt

Human Resources Director

Connie Hewitt has recently joined Broadview at Purchase College as our new Human Resources Director.

Connie has worked in HR for over 20 years, both as a full-time employee
and as a consultant, in a variety of industries including technology, consumer products, banking, professional services, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations.

Immediately before joining Broadview, Connie worked as a consultant as the HR Director at United Hebrew in New Rochelle, a skilled nursing and assisted living facility, and managed a department of three professionals. At United Hebrew Connie realized how much she enjoyed working with seniors. Prior to that she worked at two independent schools, and developed a genuine passion for educational institutions as well, believing that education improved her own life significantly. So when the opportunity came up to work at a new senior living community at Broadview, on the college campus of SUNY – Purchase, it was a great opportunity for her to blend both interests into one career choice.

Connie earned her B.A. with a major in Sociology at Smith College in
Northampton, MA. She obtained her CP certification from the Society for
Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has had her PHR (Professional
Human Resources) certification for over 15 years. Connie has volunteered at SHRM and served on the Sothern Connecticut Chapter of SHRM as their past Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) for over five years.
Connie lives in Greenwich, CT and is involved in a number of volunteer
activities for her college, including interviewing local high school students. She currently volunteers on the national domestic abuse services (DAS) hotline run out of the Greenwich-YWCA, having done so over twenty years.

We are glad Connie has joined to help with hiring our first employee team at Broadview, shape our benefits offerings, and help us create Broadview to be an employer of choice.
