DISCOVER BROADVIEW AT PURCHASE COLLEGE

Purchase College SUNY, established in 1967, is among the top ten liberal arts colleges in the country. The campus is located in the center of a 500-acre former estate in Westchester County, NY. Coursework is rigorous, attracting a diverse student body studying a curriculum of liberal arts and sciences combined with world class conservatory programs in the visual and performing arts.

With the addition of Broadview, Purchase College has become a laboratory for lifelong learning. It offers its residents of all ages unique and unconventional access to intellectual and social growth, far beyond what either a college or a retirement community could separately offer.

Broadview—Senior Living at Purchase College is sponsored by Purchase Senior Learning Community Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) set up by the college to develop the senior learning community. Approval for the project came from the State of New York through enabling legislation passed in 2011.

The Purchase College tagline “Think Wide Open” captures so much about the college’s culture — rigorous pursuit of ideas, high regard for dialogue, creativity and collaboration, mutual respect and, of course, inclusivity and acceptance. Broadview is an extension of Think Wide Open — a vigorous learning community for residents whose values are consistent with those of Purchase College. They blend into the community in ways that benefit students and faculty as well as themselves.
