Anticipating the Future at Broadview

Carole and Bernard Ferster hail from New Rochelle and are looking forward to being members of the Broadview—Senior Living at Purchase College community. They met at Cornell University. Bernard went on to continue his education at Columbia Law School and pursued a career in employment law. Carole earned a master’s degree in ecology at Fordham University, and served as the coordinator of volunteers at the Bronx zoo, supervising over 200 teaching volunteers in each year during her 20 years of service.

The Fersters are eagerly anticipating retirement in their apartment home at Broadview. Bernard enjoys photography, while Carole’s artistic endeavors includes quilting and silk painting. They’ve created a very successful butterfly garden, advancing their commitment to ecology.

They look forward to the partnership between the senior living community and Purchase College. They both say the opportunity to attend courses and interact with people of all ages is what made them choose Broadview—Senior Living at Purchase College for their future home.
